Social Communication

The department of Salesian Social Communication in ZMB Vice-Province is at its beginning and slowly is getting structured in order to comply with the norms and directions from the Headquarters.
In the meantime, there is a part-time delegate for the Social Communication. The main scope of the SC in the province is to provide information at the provincial level and become the link between the communities and the province, between the province and the Congregation in special way in regard to the official website of the Congregation www.sdb.org and the official news agency ANS.
In the Vice-Province there has been a move from the oral tradition as a way of information to a more formal way of communcation which is now twofold:

Salesian Newslink

The Salesian province of Mary Help of Christians (ZMB) has a quarterly publication entitled ‘Salesian Newslink‘, which gathers information of the various activities that take place in the province. This publication is under the care of the department of Social Communication.

The provincial of ZMB has appointed Fr Javier Antonio Barrientos SDB as part-time delegate for the social communication, besides his duties of Youth Animation in the province.

The provincial Newslink is also fully published on-line in PDF, which is available at the same time as the printed version of the magazine. Part of the newlink is also dedicated to news coming from the Salesian World as well as from news from current events.
