New Projects
The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians is undertaking many projects for the benefit of people in the rural settings as well as those who live in towns. However the construction of the various structures does not represent the major challenge; instead the running of the services does.
Technical Schools struggle to keep lower the school fees while offering teachers and other personnel fair salaries, not counting the material spent in the learning process such as metal and wood.
Parishes need also some extra funds in order to sponsor seminars, workshops, retreats and meet the expenses of the maintenance of the premises. There are also people who need special care as far as medicines, clothes and food are concerned since abandoned, orphaned or sick from AIDS can no longer look after themselves.
Oratories and Youth Centres offer many facilities for young people in order to occupy their free time. The running costs of the oratories and youth centres are also challenging since equipment wears out just like jerseys, footballs, and other accessories.
