Lusaka-Bauleni (Zambia) 07/07/2012.- Priestly ordination of Fr Christopher Kunda SDB. Salesian Bishop Clement Mulenga SDB has ordained priest Rev. Christopher Kunda SDB in splendid ceremony at St. Mathias Mulumba Parish in Bauleni (Zambia).Fr. Christopher Kunda Kaloso SDB was ordained priest amidst joy and thanksgiving to God for the gift of fidelity and vocation. During the homily Bishop Clement reminded Fr. Christopher of the duties of the priest, but also of the fact that it is always God who is at work in each person and the most important thing is to see His presence and action in one’s own life.
The vocation journey of Fr. Christopher hasn’t been an easy one, and Fr. Tresphord Chota the MC was the one who gave a hint of what is was like for Fr. Kunda to become a Salesian Priest. His vocation journey has taken over 19 years and it is through God’s intervention that Fr. Christopher has received the grace of ordination to become a more committed servant of God’s people.
In his words of thanksgiving Fr. Kunda mentioned to all those present that God works in various ways and that despite our weakness and lack of commitment, God is always faithful, and a proof of God’s faithfulness is the fact he always provides shepherds to tend his flock.
Fr. Kunda chose as the motto of his ordination the words of Peter in the Gospel of John: “Lord, you know everything, you know that I love you” which reflect his vocation journey.
